Responsible Selling in Cannabis

Published On: October 20, 2019

Cannabis retail training is important. It is the gate-way between many consumers and their use of recreational and medicinal cannabis. Not unlike LCBO employees, cannabis retail workers must be on their A-game at work. They must always keep an eye out for anyone who may be intoxicated or underage.

Since many individuals are new to cannabis, those entering dispensaries may come equipped with many questions. Bud-tenders are these consumers’ introduction into the world of cannabis-- a necessity in the industry. It is important, however, that those working this position understand what they can and cannot say in regards to health claims as per government regulations.

Bud-tenders have a mandatory obligation to be on the lookout for anyone who is under the influence and about to use a vehicle. Individuals in road-fatalities who are under the influence of drugs triple that of those who are drunk. Working in cannabis retail means playing a role in prevention. You’ll also need to be on the lookout for minors.

If you’re interested in working in the cannabis retail, you’ll need to come equipped with a government-approved institution’s retail training certificate.

That’s why we created our Retail Training Certificate. We sat down with our team of industry experts and created a top-notch program to teach you everything you’ll need to know about the responsible selling of cannabis.
