Program Overview
This nine-month technology driven cannabis production program prepares you for industry-relevant jobs such as Cannabis Master Grower, Responsible Person, Cultivation Technicians, Extraction Technologists, Cannabis Consultants/Educators and Product Developers. The program also opens career paths in cannabis sectors from healthcare, edibles, and cosmetics to nutraceuticals in Canada.
Through this program, you will learn how the Canadian cannabis industry’s regulatory framework applies to commercial cannabis production. The program covers Cannabis Regulations and Cannabis Commercial Production Mechanisms (Cannabis Cultivation, Extraction, Biotechnological Processes, and Tissue Culture) and all the production related activities within the scope of the Cannabis Regulations Act.
The program provides extensive knowledge on cannabis history and related regulations, current cannabis regulatory requirements, cannabis quality management systems, cannabis plant diseases, and current cannabis pest management techniques and sanitation programs besides other topics. Students will also learn skills through hands-on training or on-line satellite training with cannabis plants.
Industrial workshops and production practical training in the curriculum helps in ultimate cannabis production exposure. The NACPT has a faculty of professional expertise and industrial knowledge who conduct regular program reviews for an updated course content that cater to the current job market in cannabis production.

NACPT offers its unique optional job development program for all graduates for free. In this program, graduates will get an opportunity to work with a career coach individually to obtain the maximum job opportunities in industrial cannabis production. As part of the job development program, the career development team will help each NACPT graduate tailor the resume, attend mock interviews, connect with industry experts, and have exclusive access to the job market. This Job Development Program has been designed by NACPT to help the students prepare a career plan knowing the industry better through expert advice.
